Vermont Planning Information Center (VPIC)
A website for members of local planning commissions, zoning boards and development review boards:

VPIC is a new website developed by DHCA with partners from the Land Use Education and Training Collaborative. This website is designed to provide local land use officials with information on planning and development review. Start by reviewing the "Welcome Packet" for new officials on the VPIC home page.

UVM Extension Service – "Take Charge/ReCharge" and other programs aid towns and community governments in planning for their future.

Vermont Forum on Sprawl – Dedicated to the issue of sprawl and growth that is consistent with Vermont values of environmental quality, rural working landscape, and community values of sharing and equity.

Vermont Land Trust – A state-wide land conservation organization which provides technical and legal assistance to individuals, communities, and local land trusts helping them achieve local conservation objectives.

Vermont League of Cities and Towns – Provides research and information sharing, training, technical assistance, legislative advocacy, group insurance programs, and legal assistance to Vermont cities and towns.

Vermont Secretary of State’s Office - Information and assistance in understanding the laws that apply to local governments and contains "Vermont Municipal Guide to Land Use Regulations.

"Vermont Statute TITLE 24: Municipal and County Government CHAPTER 117: Municipal and Regional Planning and Development – Link to Vermont Statute Title 24, Chapter 117 affecting land use planning including: Act 250 and agricultural land conservation, municipal administrative procedures, local bylaw adoption procedures, the Downtown Development Act, and more.
